The interdisciplinary academic master’s degree in Biostatistics’s main goal to provide professional conditions to make appropriate planning, using appropriate statistical methodologies and thus obtain robust and reliable results in health studies, biological, among others. Besides these aspects, given the sub-areas of expertise, the professional at the end of the course should be able to understand the phenomena of health and biological areas, and their social interrelationships in order to make causal connections between diseases and risk factors. Within these perspectives to achieve the qualifications proposed, the program philosophy is to promote inter and transdisciplinary between faculty, students and researchers of health and biological areas. Also, develop attitudes and ethical values in the search.
